That’s what diabetes camp does for youth with diabetes. I’m committed to making sure that every child with diabetes has the opportunity to go to camp – and that every camp is fully prepared to meet their needs. It’s why I volunteer for the Diabetes Education & Camping Association, the world’s member association of diabetes camps – over 400 programs around the globe that give those affected by diabetes adventures they’ll always remember—and empowering diabetes information they’ll never forget.

But, just like kids with diabetes need help managing diabetes, diabetes camps need help providing the best programs possible. Our annual Camp 1nspires campaign raises $375,000 every year to help DECA with its vital work. We ensure that camps have the support, supplies and educational resources they need to best serve their campers. We work with industry partners to provide educational materials, insulin, blood glucose meters, strips, syringes and so much more. We educate staff and volunteers and provide resources for program management – inspiring awesomeness at every level.
