Being a camp alumni

Today, I'm pausing to realize how impactful diabetes camp has been on my life. I met my closest friends at camp and we have shared incredible experiences together. I raised my children at camp and my camp friends were part of that. When I married my loving husband, it was my camp friends that witnessed the magic. I have worked as an adult alongside my camp friends - continuing to make a difference in the lives of people affected by diabetes. Camp connections give me hope, make me laugh, create incredible memories and strong bonds. I'm on a mission to re-engage with my camp friends, to stay in touch and to continue to help diabetes camps with a powerful purpose - to enhance the life of a child with diabetes everyday - starting today! Others will develop treatments, technologies and search for a cure - and that's critically important. But today, I stop to realize that diabetes camp impacts lives in a powerful way. Join me in helping them - and re-engage with your camp buddies. It will make you smile.
